General Information

Staunch but non-spreading, this plant is a great substitute for flax. We use this plant in the middle of borders where it can provide contrast to taller shrubs at the back and smaller ground covers in front.

Features: Beautiful, white flower spikes stand erect above strappy, brown green leaves

Uses: Formal, white themed gardens, NZ native gardens

Combinations: Astelia banksii, Corokia ‘Emerald and Jade’, Pratia angulata

Care: Can remove dead leaves from base of plant, be careful when planting not to pile the soil/mulch over the base of the plant
