Satisfaction Comes From:
Seeing thoughts and ideas become a reality and also being in a career where I get to be creative and practical
Most Important Tool:
Compass for creating circles and my digital camera
Passionate About:
Crafting - sewing, knitting, baking and preserving

Helen is probably the first person clients will get to talk to at Project Landscape as she is usually found in the studio busily creating landscape plans full of innovative ideas and attention to detail.
Even though she trusts the team 100% to install the landscape exactly to specifications, Helen enjoys visiting sites under construction to see her visions take shape (although the team swears that every time she turns up she brings the rain clouds with her!)

Position:Associate Designer
Satisfaction Comes From:
Finding solutions to landscape design problems and seeing the joy on the clients face when you present the plan

Monique lends her positive and perfectionist attitude to our design team, her open and honest nature helps her bond with her clients and she has a talent for discovering their innermost landscape desires!
Monique's artistic interests expand to painting and sculpture, some of her work has been exhibited in galleries but the fate of one poor sculpture was under the wheels of her van!

 Lee [ Lee ]

Cert. of Horticulture, 2 years study of landscape design and technology (top design student) Certified NZITHO Workplace Assessor

Position:Construction Manager / Company Director
Satisfaction Comes From:
Completing quality landscapes
Most Important Tool:
Our Staff!
Passionate About: Fishing, travel and my vegetable garden (Helen says - Don't forget cooking)

Lee has grown up in a very practical family and so had construction skills long before he was even allowed his first ‘big boy' hammer!
With his patient, problem solving personality, Lee organises our landscape projects and likes to keep a hand in on the installation.  He oversees all construction work, and is focused on detail and finishing, as can be proved with his perfectly (some might say obsessively!) manicured lawns, at home.
Lee's passion and talent for plants and design is a great asset in a landscape construction manager, with his ability to not only assist with design concepts, but to follow that idea through with sound practical knowledge and advice.

Position:Site Manager
Satisfaction Comes From: Working hard and doing a good job
Most Important Tool:
Dingo
Passionate About:
Hockey, car racing and my vegetable garden

The rest of the team was asked to describe Andrew and the words ‘Hard Working' were repeated over and over again. Grant even joked that Andrew will only leave work at the end of the day if he knows he can go home and paint the roof, mow the lawns, weed the garden, seal the driveway.....
Andrew organises the day to day, on site work and leads the team with his friendly personality and expert construction skills.

Chainsaw
Passionate About:
Fishing and the BBQ after a good days fishing

Within the team, Lindsey is most valued for his enthusiastic team spirit, motivating (or mocking!) the others with his quick smile and infectious laugh.
Lindsey is hardworking and has a quick mind for costs and quantities. He has skills and talents that cover all landscape tasks, most noticeably anything relating to concrete.

 Grant [ Grant ]

Position:

Landscaper / Under Apprenticeship.

(In his own words) Tool gatherer, hole digger, concrete mixer and team morale lifter

Satisfaction Comes From:
Watching a job come to fruition from a sea of timber, concrete, pavers and earth to visually pleasing walls, pathways and gardens
Most Important Tool:
Square mouth shovel, spade, haunching trowel, basically any tool the others don't want to work with (this answer has been edited for space)
Passionate About:
Boating, fishing, playing drums, watching cricket and rugby and listening to music

As you can see from above a further description of Grant is probably not necessary as he is quite capable of finding the words to promote himself.
His skills as a concrete mixer are only surpassed by his skills as a linguist and with his large vocabulary he often leaves all of us scratching our heads.

Satisfaction Comes From:
Setting goals, doing your best and achieving what you aimed for
