Mediterranean Hillside
Project Type: Residential
The Site: This challanging site is situated at the end of a steep driveway. The Brief: The client brief called for us to transform a sloping, and in some places inaccessable site into a plant lovers landscape. The gardens needed to be designed to allow for future plant additions and some seriously steep gradients needed to be tamed The Solution: We gave areas an individual purpose. Existing retaining walls blocked access to higher parts of the garden, we re-arranged these so that the site could be fully appreciated. Being a relatively small site gardens had to become multi purpose, productive gardens were also used ornamentaly and a pergola is home to climbers and baskets of annuals
'Flair, style and quiet enthusiasm is the hallmark that Helen Boyes and Lee Cloke put into their work when designing and establishing our garden. Helen and Lee's efforts have transformed a small featureless hillside section into a landscaped section of quiet beauty'
