Pool with a View

The Site: Sloping away from the house with an outlook over farmland The Brief: The clients wanted to complete their existing paved outdoor area by including an outdoor fireplace and a screened area off the master bedroom for a spa pool. A swimming pool was to be placed with access from this entertainment area. The Solution: We located the pool so that the house replaced one side of the required pool fencing. The fireplace was designed to have built in seats and wood storage with a plaster rendered finish to link with the house cladding. Plaster pillars with toughened glass inserts protects the entertainment area from wind while still allowing views of the pool and paddocks beyond. Pavers were chosen to match the existing but the expanse was broken up with lines of 100mm square dark brown clay pavers.
