Bold Modern
Project Type: Residential
The Site: The front section of a new architectural home. The Brief: The majority of the area had to be used as driveway and parking space so the clients wanted a design that would soften the amount of hard surfacing, emphasise the front door and strong planting that would hold its own with the weight of the home The Solution: Our design used low plaster retaining walls to define the entry to the driveway. Square sections of plain concrete were used as a pathway and set into the exposed aggregate concrete of the driveway. Large grade Nikau palms dominate the garden beds with Lobelia aberdarica mass planted below.
