The Brief: To interpret the theme of 'The Culture of Taranaki'
The Solution: We wanted to show the funky side of Taranaki and promote all that the region has to offer. The amazing natural landscape of Taranaki was represented in our site - everything from the tip of the mountain to the rolling waves of the coast. NZ native plants were, of course, a must.
This landscape design was entered in association with Renaissance Landscape Design and Garden Centre. An inspirational place to visit located on Fantham Street on the northern edge of Hawera, Taranaki
Well, there was no one client but the judges appreciated our hardwork, skill and enthusiasm enough to award us first prize! We also received many positive comments from the viewing public. 'Asking what makes us Truly Taranaki. Once we were looked upon as isolated, now we have re-birthed to a destination. Thus 'The Discovery' with diverse pleasure ground from the mountain, to the sea. Dynamic industries, our place has much to offer. Vibrancy and passion typify our people, Rich inculture, arts and music, this unique essence is what sets us apart.
