General Information
The NZ Titoki is a great shade tree as these plants usually grow from a single leader and have a well shaped canopy. An added bonus is that the birds adore the fruit.
Features: Dark glossy leaves, flowers in early spring and summer and brilliant red and black berries.
Uses: Feature or avenue trees that also grow well in commercial landscapes. Mass plant in a native garden with simple underplanting
Combinations: Arthropodium cirratum, Asplenium bulbiferum, Dianella nigra
Care: Young plants are a little frost tender, plant in not too windy a position and mulch well
