The Horse Chestnut puts on a beautiful display when flowering and is a lovely tree to have if you have the space. We have seen some mature specimens as avenue planting. Stunning! Features: A large deciduous tree with an upright form and rounded shape. Fresh green, palmate leaves and white flowers that sit in upright panicles. Uses: In larger gardens to create a park setting. As an avenue tree. As a specimen to create a balance of scale against large formal lawns. Combinations: Together or underplanted with Hydrangea quercifolia, Astelia 'Silver Spear' and large Hosta sp. Care: Mulch and stake newly planted trees, easy care, this tree does prefer climates with cool winters and warm summers.
