Hosta 'Blue Boy'
Plant Type: PerennialPlant Size: 300mm x 500mm
There is something so alluring about Hostas. In a way it is a shame that they don't stick around for the whole year but I guess most of their appeal lies in those few tantilising months when they grace us with their presence.
Features: Smaller growing hosta with powdery blue leaves and mauve flowers
Uses: In the dappled shade under trees, blue Hostas tend to retain their colour better in shade. Mass planted they lend an established look to a garden. If you lack mature trees to provide shade Hostas are also good in pots
Combinations: Pieris 'Temple Bells', Rhododendron (yellow varieties), Ajuga 'Jungle Beauty'
Care: Watch for slug and snail damage, early damaged leaves can be trimmed to allow for the unblemished new growth to emerge. Slightly acidic soils and good drainage promotes healthy growth
Availability: Available for purchase through our associated plant nursery
