General Information

This copper topped NZ native is one of the most widely used grasses in landscapes and when viewed en masse it's easy to see why Carex testacea is so popular.

Features: Orange/copper foliage native tussock with weeping seed heads. The more sun the brighter the colour

Uses: This grass comes alive in wind blown, sandy soiled,coastal gardens. Planted in a mixed border this grass help to enhance the features of the other plants.

Combinations: Hemerocallis sp (any red flowering ones look divine), Sedum 'Autumn Joy', Hosta 'Blue Boy'

Care: Can 'comb' with fingers to remove old leaves
