Hen and Chicken Fern.  A great light, fresh green fern for shady areas.  These plants look their best when mass planted and the baby ferns that grow on the old fronds is added interest.

Features: Light green fronds, dissected soft leaves

Uses: Planted under a canopy of trees, to lighten dark, shady areas, house plants

Combinations: Macropiper excelsum, Sophora sp (Kowhai), Arthropodium cirratum

Care: Watch for slugs and snails, yellow growth can mean too much light or too wet
